We have several different levels of programs to fit your obedience needs: from Basic On-leash commands to Advanced Off-leash skills. Want to add tricks? We can add them to any program! We’ll create the perfect plan for you.

All of our programs include Monthly Training Tune-up Classes to reinforce what your dog learned at home. We find that dogs retain the obedience better when they learn it one-on-one, then practice it in a group setting.
About Our Company
Dog Training In Your Home was established in 1989 in Charlotte North Carolina. Our philosophy is simple: we teach your dog to be a well behaved family member. In many cases your dog’s home environment is enabling bad behavior, so the home is the most logical place for training. Our services are designed to make training your dog fun for you and your dog, while getting immediate results.
In 2001, the Columbia, SC office was opened to provide our in-home dog training services to clients in Lexington and Richland counties. This office has been locally owned and operated by Julie Davis since 2003, and we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as the #1 in-home dog training company of The Midlands.
In 2017, the Columbia office decided to expand to the Myrtle Beach, SC area. We’ve been dedicated to be the best dog training company in your area ever since!
We train any age, any breed of dog. So, you can start your new puppy off on the right track with our puppy training obedience courses, or work with your older dog on behaviors that need help. Rescue dogs are common and we love helping them and their owners adjust to each other so they can stay in their “fur”ever homes! Whether you have rescued a dog from a shelter, or found your perfect match from a breeder, we will be happy to help you get them accustomed to their new home! Using obedience and our behavior modification techniques, our trainers can help any dog go from being a “bad dog” to a well-behaved member of your pack.

FREE EVALUATION
We start with our free 22-point evaluation to determine your dog’s temperament, personality and trainability. Using this information, in combination with your goals, our expert evaluator will design a custom program for you and your dog. We work with any age, any breed of dog!
DOG TRAINING
Our company offers a variety of training programs that cover all levels of obedience training. Start with the very basics, or dive in with advanced and reliable off-leash work. Tricks can be added to any program, and all programs come with our Lifetime Better Dog Warrantee.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Our trainers will address any behavioral problem you need us to. Not only do we work on “normal” problems like housebreaking, jumping, play-biting, and chewing; but our company even specializes in aggression and anxiety cases. A benefit to training in-home!
THERAPY/SERVICE DOGS
These specialized programs are customized for the service your dog needs to provide for you, or the therapy work you wish to do with your dog. During your FREE evaluation, we will get this information from you to customize your program.
